Token metadata a Cosmos-SDK chain registers on-chain, a page at a time (at most 100): base denom, display unit, name, symbol, description and the exponent of the display unit (its decimals). Only denoms the chain registered appear; many tokens, such as most IBC ones, have no entry. Read from public nodes that offer no SLA and can be slow, throttled or a block behind; a failing node is replaced by another operator's automatically. Served by Eden Engine; not an official product of any chain or node operator.
