Economic Time Series with Observations by Provider, Dataset and Series Code (DBnomics)

dbnomics/get-series

One economic or statistical time series from DBnomics, looked up by its source agency code, dataset code and series code (for example IMF, WEO:2023-10 and USA.NGDP_RPCH for US real GDP growth in the IMF World Economic Outlook). Returns the series with its name, frequency, dimensions and its observations as parallel period and value arrays, plus when DBnomics last updated it. Only public statistical agencies (central banks, national statistics offices, IMF, OECD, Eurostat, World Bank and similar) can be requested; commercial sources DBnomics also indexes are refused. Each series keeps the licence and terms of the agency that publishes it, named in provider_code; the terms_of_use link of every agency is in DBnomics List Providers. An unknown series or dataset code is a VALIDATION error. DBnomics data, passed through unmodified and served by Eden Engine; not an official DBnomics product.

Price

$0.0026 per call

You pay the price shown. If a call turns out to cost more than its quote, you pay the actual price, capped at twice the quote. No monthly minimum. Top-ups start at $5.

Data source

DBnomics

Data from DBnomics (CEPREMAP), https://db.nomics.world. DBnomics' own aggregated datasets are published under the ODbL; each series is the original source agency's data and remains subject to that agency's licence and terms of use (listed by agency in DBnomics List Providers). Credit DBnomics and the source agency. Served by Eden Engine; not an official DBnomics product.

// 1. search: find the tool
omnial_search({ query: "what you need" })

// 2. inspect: price and input schema
omnial_inspect({ tool: "dbnomics/get-series" })

// 3. learn: read the usage guide at runtime
omnial_learn({ tool: "dbnomics/get-series" })

// 4. run: price the exact call first, then run it
omnial_execute({ tool: "dbnomics/get-series", input: { /* see input_schema */ }, dry_run: true })
omnial_execute({ tool: "dbnomics/get-series", input: { /* ... */ } })

// 5. settle: the call is charged when it finishes, nothing to do
