NASA Natural Event Detail (One Wildfire, Storm or Volcano with Its Full Track)

eonet/event-detail

Returns one natural event from NASA's Earth Observatory Natural Event Tracker (EONET) by its id (from NASA Natural Events): title, category, closed date (null while no end is recorded), the outside source that reported it (id and URL), and every dated geometry in order. Each geometry is an observation with longitude/latitude and, where the source gave one, a magnitude with its unit (acres or hectare for fires, knots for storms), so a storm's whole track and intensity is in one call. An id EONET does not hold comes back as a provider error. Attribution: data from NASA's Earth Observatory Natural Event Tracker (EONET). Event records come from third-party sources named in each event; not a NASA product and not endorsed by NASA.
