Looks up one record in the Education Resources Information Center (ERIC) by its ERIC ID (EJ followed by digits for a journal article, ED followed by digits for a document): title, authors, abstract, subject terms, publication type, publication year, language and a peer-reviewed flag where the record carries them. Returns the match count (0 when the ID does not exist, with an empty list, not an error) and the record. Metadata only, no full text. The abstract may be publisher-supplied and carry third-party copyright. Text may contain HTML character references such as '.
