Japan Elevation Tile Summary (GSI)
gsitiles/elevation-tile
Summarises one Geospatial Information Authority of Japan (GSI) elevation tile, addressed by the standard web-map z/x/y scheme: the lowest, highest and mean elevation in metres, how many of its 256 x 256 cells hold a value, and a 32 x 32 sample grid (every 8th cell, null where there is no value, such as sea). Layers: dem (10 m, zoom 1 to 14), dem5a and dem5b (5 m, zoom 1 to 15, covering part of Japan). A tile the layer does not cover, such as one outside Japan, fails with a provider error. Source: GSI Tiles (地理院タイル); served by Eden Engine; not an official GSI product.
