Searches the NHS Organisation Data Service (ORD) directory by organisation name and returns summary records: ODS code, name, active or inactive status, record class, postcode, last change date and primary role, with a link to each full record. Matches include organisations that have closed, so check the status of each. Optional filters narrow the matches by status and by primary role code. A name that matches nothing returns an empty list; the full record of a match is the tool organisation-by-code. NHS England ORD data, passed through unmodified and served by Eden Engine; not an official NHS product.
