Our World in Data Chart Values (Latest or Chosen-Year Value for a Country)

owid/chart-values

Returns the start and end values of one Our World in Data chart for one country or region: the entity, the time span, the column definition (name and unit) and the first and last data points, for example population-density for FRA (France) in 2000 gives 108.6 people per km2. Pass country as an ISO 3 code (FRA) or an OWID entity name (World, Europe); leave it out for the chart's default entity. Pass time to read one year. A country with no data in the chart returns only the source citation. Only the end points are returned, not a full series. Our World in Data content is CC BY 4.0; the source field names the underlying data providers. A renamed slug answers a redirect that is refused, and an unknown slug answers NOT_FOUND. Our World in Data data as served by Omnial, not an official OWID product.
