TIGERweb Boundary at a Point
tigerweb/point-lookup
Finds the current United States boundary of a chosen layer that contains a longitude and latitude (WGS84) and returns its GEOID, name, feature class code, land and water area (square metres) and centroid; no geometry. Layers: 80 states, 82 counties, 8 tracts, 28 incorporated places, 30 designated places, 93 metropolitan statistical areas, 2 ZIP code tabulation areas. For example layer 8 at -122.4194, 37.7749 returns the San Francisco tract containing it. A point outside the United States, or one that falls in no boundary of that layer (for example a rural point on the places layers), returns an empty `features` array.
