UK Tariff Commodity Code Search by Goods Description (HMRC)

Searches the UK Trade Tariff by a plain-language description of goods (for example horse, cotton t-shirt, lithium battery) and returns the matching commodity codes, headings and chapters, best match first. Each commodity hit carries its 10-digit code, description, whether it is declarable, its chain of parent descriptions and its section, chapter and heading. A query that matches nothing returns empty lists. Results can be large for broad words. UK Trade Tariff data (HM Revenue and Customs) under the Open Government Licence v3.0, served by Omnial; not an official HMRC product.
