U.S. State Drought Severity by Share of Area (U.S. Drought Monitor)
usdroughtmonitor/state-drought-percent
The weekly U.S. Drought Monitor statistics for one U.S. state: the percent of the state in each drought category (none, D0 abnormally dry, D1 moderate, D2 severe, D3 extreme, D4 exceptional) for every weekly map in a date window, newest first. The state is its two-digit FIPS code (06 California, 31 Nebraska, 48 Texas); an abbreviation or name is refused. statisticsType 1 gives cumulative percentages (D0 includes everything worse), 2 gives categorical ones. A map counts when it is valid on any day of the window. Maps are weekly and start in January 2000, so a window before then or in the future returns an empty list; keep the window as short as the question allows. U.S. Drought Monitor statistics, passed through unmodified and served by Eden Engine; not an official U.S. Drought Monitor product.
