World Bank Country Profile (Region, Income Group, Capital)

worldbank/country-profile

The World Bank's profile of one or up to 20 countries or aggregates by three-letter code: name, region, income group (high, upper middle, lower middle, low), lending type (IBRD, IDA, blend or not classified), capital city and its coordinates. Example: BRA is Brazil, Latin America & Caribbean, upper middle income, IBRD, capital Brasilia. Use it to check whether a code is a country or an aggregate such as WLD (World) or HIC (High income): an aggregate has the region Aggregates and no capital. The income group is the Bank's current classification, reset every 1 July, with no date on the response. Rows are alphabetical by name. Coordinates are text. One unknown code fails the whole call.
